New — and Much Improved — Multiple Listing Property Search Added February 15th

Click on Search Sullivan MLS and you'll go to the new property search on this site, with many improvements and added features such as:

Expanded Property Detail Pages with much more information, including property taxes.

Improved Advanced Search Function with more search options to fine tune your searches.

Ability to Search for Lakefront Property. The Advanced Search page now includes a section "Land Features" where you can select just "lakefront", "riverfront" or even "pond" from the list of criteria, rather than the kind of useless catch-all "waterfront" category in the old system.

Robust Map Search. Zoom in and zoom out on a map to see all the properties in a specific area.

Sullivan County Real Estate iPhone app

iPhone App. The new search system has an app for iPhone and iPod Touch users. It's not a replacement for the web version, it's more of a sidekick. The web vesion is far more robust, with more features. But the app has one very cool feature. The map-based search is "location aware", so when you're tooling around Sullivan County (and within AT&T signal range), you can find information on houses for sale near you, or even as you drive by them! Improved Photo Viewer. When you go to the Photo Gallery for a listing and click on any photo, you're going to get a big photo view, something you just couldn't get in the old system.

QuikLink Preset Searches. The new system has the capability for me to preset the most popular searches. Look for QuikLink searches on many pages of this website. I've also gathered all the preset searches together on a single page, popularsearches.html.

 

Information for Users of the
Previous MLS Search

Many users have saved properties and searches on the legacy MLS search system (IDXPro). Unfortunately, it isn't possible to transfer those user accounts with their saved properties and searches to the new system.

I'm continuing the legacy MLS search through April 30th, 2010, so you can access any properties or searches you've saved on that system until then. After that date, however, any saved properties will no longer be accessible, and any saved searches on that system will not email out new listings after that date. You can access the legacy system at http://www.catskill4sale.com/listings_idx.asp.

I strongly recommend that you set up a new user account on the new system, and begin saving properties and setting up searches there. Setting up a user account on the new system is quick and easy, but does require verification of your email. So if you're an Earthlink user who has spam verification enabled, make sure to add my email address, davidk@beechwoods.net, to your permitted email list.
