I usually post on my blog at least once or twice a week, keep my favorites updated and post a market conditions report every month. For the past month, that’s all been thrown to the wind. It may seem I’m AWOL, but I haven’t been on vacation or sick. I’ve just been crazy busy with boots-on-the-ground clients, and those clients aren’t just shopping, they’re buying. Right now I have nine active deals in process (and expect another one or two may come together in the next week or so.) That’s the most I can ever recall at one time. Typically I peak at 5 or 6 deals in process at any given time. While working with buyers to find a house certainly takes time, the real work begins once a deal is struck, and every deal has a lot of moving parts — inspections, post-inspection negotiations, appraisal appointments, contractor visits, oil tank or septic testing, house revisits to show off the house to out of town relatives and a host of other details like measuring a bedroom to see if Grandma’s bed will fit. I’m not complaining; it’s the job. Keeping deals on track is Job #1, and everything else takes a back seat — like blog posting and favorite finding. I’m hoping to catch up this week.
