The price on this adorable little lakefront cottage at Hunter Lake was just cut to $179,000. (It started 5 months ago at $299,000, and has had a few intermittent reductions.) This is one of those situations where the owners are very motivated to sell.
The cottage is small, just 720 sqaure feet, with one loft bedroom. Totally renovated and very cute. It sits on Hunter Lake, a medium sized motorboat lake and faces west for sunset views. A question I get on this one is whether the house can be expanded. Possibly, but not a slam dunk because of the small lot size — expanding houses can often require expansion of the septic system, which can be a challenge on smaller parcels.
If the size works for you, this is pretty sweet. Lakefront cottages under $200,000 are pretty rare, and usually have some ‘issue’, like wetlands lake frontage or some structural problem. Click on the photo to check out the listing. (Listing courtesy of Prudential Peters Real Estate.)
