We've had three rounds of snow in the past two weeks, and there's a good snowpack on the ground. Total snow depth right now ranges between 14" and 22", which presents a challenge in showing property if the drives aren't plowed out and the walks and stairs shoveled. And yes, I have appointments this weekend.
So it was down to the basement to dig out my showshoes. I have two pairs to bring along. I haven't had to haul snowshoes along for showing for two or three winters. And then into my gear drawer to find my pair of gators — those tall spats-like things that you put over your boots. Like they say in Norway, there's never bad weather, just the wrong clothes.
The upside of all this snow is that it's just beautiful. The snow is mostly light and fluffy (unlike the heavy white cement that fell in the city) and there's little to no ice. And while it's not balmy by any means, the high today will be around 20, which is a heck of a lot better than the 5 degree highs two weeks ago.
